Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies

low carb chocolate chip cookies

These homemade chocolate chip keto cookies are delicious, low carb, and completely sugar free!

For dessert lovers like myself, I had to find a low carb chocolate chip recipe that was easy to make, low in carbs, and still delicious.

The main concerns I had about this recipe was that I knew I’d have to use a flour substitute and find chocolate chips that are keto-friendly. The 2 most common types of flours that I’ve tried when baking on keto are coconut flour and almond flour.

Almond flour is easier to find and also easier to work with.

It doesn’t absorb as much water as coconut flour and this is great if you’re making cookies. You can get almond flour conveniently online or at Walmart, Target, or most health foods stores.

You can also make your own almond flour at home by adding raw almonds to a food processor and pulsing it until it reaches a flour-like consistency. I like to roast my almonds beforehand to give an even nuttier flavour.

Either way, be careful not to over process it or you’ll end up with almond butter!
